This work tells the story of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is scored for choir (SATB), three soloists (STB; soprano and bass soloists may come from the within the choir, but the tenor soloist - the "role" of Christ - must be independent), string quartet or string ensemble, trumpet, organ and percussion (2 players). There are sections for optional children's choir (2- and 3-part), which could be taken by a semi-chorus of sopranos. There is a spoken narrator's part.
